“Then I’ll call you Hisui. Now, shall we talk about what’s next?”

「じゃあ翡翠と呼ばせてもらうぞ。さて、これからのことについて話そうか」

 

“Yes, please.”

「はい、お願いします」

 

Straightening her posture, Hisui nodded as if she were about to take an interview.

姿勢を正して、まるで面接でも受けるかのような面持ちで翡翠が頷く。

 

“I’m a billionaire.”

「俺は億万長者だ」

「え？　あ、え？　す、すごいです」

なんだか微妙な反応をされてしまった。

俺としては、彼女に『衣食住の心配はしなくていい』ということを伝えたかったのだけど、なんだか変にまとめてしまっていた。反省。

「間違えた――えっとつまり、住む場所とかそういうのは心配しなくていいぞってこと。お金は豪遊し放題ってぐらいに有り余ってるから」

「それはやはりダンジョンで？」

 

“Exactly. When I first arrived, the people in this world couldn’t even get elixirs, so I was able to earn a lot.”

「そうそう。俺が来たばかりの時なんて、この世界の人たちはエリクサーすら手に入れられてなかったから、稼ぎ放題だったよ」

「たしかに……しかも現実ともなると、そういった回復薬の需要は高そうです」

 

“That’s right.”

「そういうこと」

 

I brought up that topic to ease her tension, but it seems that Hisui, like Crescent, has carried over her level, so if she wants to earn money, she can do so quickly.

とりあえず彼女の緊張をほぐしておきたくてそんな話をしたけれど、どうやら翡翠もクレセントと同じくレベルを引き継いでやってきているようなので、彼女も稼ごうと思えばすぐに可能だ。

After all, Hisui is the third-ranked player in the Tempest personal rankings.

なにせ翡翠はテンペストの個人ランキング三位のプレイヤーである。

「自分はいまＳＲさんのところに居候？してる形ッスけど、姫ちゃんはどうするッスか？　自分と二人暮らしをするって手もあるッスよ？」

 

Crescent asked, tilting her head.

首をコテンと傾げながら、クレセントが問う。

「ＳＲさんの邪魔にはなりたくないからね……うーん」

顎に人差し指と親指を当てて、翡翠は悩む。

十秒ほど悩んだすえ、彼女は手を上げて「質問いいですか？」と聞いてきた。

「家を建てるお金って、私だとどれぐらいで稼げると思います？」

 

“Solo? Or with Crescent?”

「ソロで？　それともクレセントと二人で？」

 

“I’ll do it too!”

「私もやるッスよ！」

 

“In that case, I think you could build a fairly luxurious house in about a week.”

「となると、一週間もあればそこそこ豪華な家が建てられるんじゃないかなぁ」

改めて頭で計算してみると、なかなかにチートな日数だった。

同郷、そして年下の二人であり、昔から面識があるということで、なんとなく保護者的目線になってしまう。

もちろん彼女たちは成人しているから、俺の手など借りずとも自立して生活できるのだろうけど、ここが異世界であるということを加味するとやっぱり少し心配だ。

The two of them are excited. As party members, they really are in sync.

二人してうきうきしている。パーティメンバーとだけあって、息ピッタリだなぁ。

「嫌なんですか？」

 

They asked me with grins.

ニヤニヤしながら二人に問いかけられる。

Being pressed by two younger girls like this is something that hasn’t happened to me before—well, maybe a few times with Sera and Phenon? Still, I’m not used to it.

年下女子二人に詰められることなんて今まで――いや、セラとフェノンたちなら何度かあるか？　まぁそれでも慣れてはいないのだ。

 

“…I’ll consult with the other members.”

「……他のメンバーに相談してみるよ」

 

Abandoning a clear response, I might indeed be a coward.

明確な返答を放棄した俺は、やはりヘタレなのかもしれない。
